About this course
ISO 9001:2026 was published on 16 September 2026. Organizations certified to ISO 9001:2015 have until 30 September 2029 to transition; after that date, 2015 certificates are no longer valid. This course is for people who already know the 2015 edition and need to move their system, and their certificate, to 2026 without wasted effort.
The course starts with why the standard changed and how certification bodies will run transition audits. Two clause-by-clause modules compare the 2015 and 2026 text side by side for every changed requirement: climate change in 4.1 and 4.2, quality culture and ethical behaviour in 5.1.1, 7.1.4 and 7.3, the separation of risks and opportunities in 6.1, and the strengthened planning of changes in 6.3. They also confirm what did not change, so you do not rewrite what already works.
A practical module shows how to make quality culture, ethical behaviour and the climate relevance determination real and evidenced. The gap assessment module gives you a checklist and a twelve-month plan that fits within one surveillance cycle. The final module is for internal auditors: what to sample, the findings that typically appear, and scenarios to work through.
The course closes with a 25-question examination drawn from a bank of 40. On passing, you receive a PlanetISO Certificate of Completion.

- Build evidence of quality culture and ethical behaviour that will stand up to audit
- Determine and document whether climate change is relevant to the quality management system
- Perform a transition gap assessment and plan documentation, training, internal audit and management review
- Audit the 2026 changes internally and recognize typical transition findings
